BEEPER KEEPS GOING OFF AFTER KEY IS REMOVED

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I couldn't get ignition switch to sit in correct spot so beeping would stop
when I removed key.   Battery was dead this morning, as expected.  What
do I need to check for beeper or is it ignition switch?  Replaced switch in
past on many cars and never had this problem.
Cleaned acidizing off battery terminals.  When went to charge this a.m., 1
terminal had fair amount back on it.  Not enough to stop car from charging.  
I don't think think this could have anything to do with the beeping?

Found my answer. I had checked the light switch and thought it was off. Next day when had to charge battery I went over car again. The way sun was hitting front of car I couldn't tell if parking lights were on or off. They were on. My exhausted error. Thanks for trying to help.
