Subaru turbo into Mitsubishi Lancer Mr
Asked by LeximusPrime69 Sep 18, 2016 at 12:39 AM about the 1998 Mitsubishi Mirage LS Coupe
Question type: Car Customization
Hi guys. Any help would be much appreciated.
But i have the option in buying a Turbo off a
Subaru. Not sure what model Subaru. But it's $200
for the turbo, the extractors and the exhaust and
it's off my mate so it's trusted. But I'm basically
asking could the Subaru turbo go into a Mitsubishi
Lancer Mr 1998 Coupe?
Cheers Alex.

It is a naturally aspirated car. And i would buy a full kit for it but I have the option on getting a Turbo, Intercooler, Piping and Extractors for $200 but i want to know if the Turbo would fit onto my Performance Extractors that are on my Lancer?

It's not a Mitsubishi Mirage. It's meant to be Mitsubishi Lancer Mr. Could be putting my stage 2 cam in it as well as my Evolution performance exhaust. What else would i need to do to engine to make it handle and withstand a Turbo at say 10psi?

For the most part, today’s fuel injected engines are very capable of being turbocharged for a 50-percent increase in power without making any real internal engine modifications. That correlates to about 7–8 lbs of boost. This is assuming that the engine’s duty cycle is relatively low meaning that the high-horsepower potential is used only occasionally and for relatively short bursts.
