Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I went to crank my car this morning it would
not turn over! Everything on my dash board came
up and I heard the click sound! I tried 5 times then it
turned over! What could it be.

Try jump starting your car. If you have a battery charger you could use it. When you have time have the battery and alternator tested.

Starter gone bad. Assuming the battery are good and if happen again, give a 3 good smack in the starter with piece of wood then start the car. If start, you have found the problem.

1. Make sure there is no corrosion build up on the battery terminals, if there is any... clean it with a wire brush. and to clean it better, baking soda water mix 50/50. 2. Check it cables on the terminals are loose, if they are... tighten them. 3. Check Cables going to starter, make sure bolts or nuts are not loose at the starter. 4. If your still having issues? Take the battery out and bring it to an Auto Parts Store like Advance Auto, Orielly's, Pepboys, Auto Zone.. They test it for free and should give you a print out. If not... Ask for it so you can see where the Battery Stands as far as Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) or Cranking Amps (CA) for the life of the battery. Hopefully this helps anyone having issues.
