How much to rebuild a 2.5 v6 in a 1999 mercury cougar ?

Like $3,000 and that's probably low , then it has to be installed . You can save some money by doing it yourself but you'd better know what you're doing . Perhaps a crate motor would be best , Then there's the tranny , And the rust treatments , How much you got ?
