Death or stroke while be for transaction; is wife obigated to complete the purchase?

Early next week I am having a slightly risky medical procedure with a one day recovery.  If I died or have a stroke after my bid but before the transaction is completed I my wife (who would co-owner) be obligated or could cancel the purchase?
