New car with wheel and brake problems

Asked by BobGod8 May 22, 2019 at 04:47 PM about the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV LT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car with 18k miles on it, mechanic says it has a bad wheel bearing on one
wheel and sticky slide pins on another.  They want $220 to "clean the brakes."
They further state that the slide pins need lubing every 15k miles, so they need
$220 to clean the brakes every 15k miles.  Does this sound at all reasonable?
Shouldn't both be covered under warranty?

$60/axle seems to be the minimum here for the cleaning service. If that's the case I'm spending $120+ every 15k miles? That doesn't sound right at all, especially for a EV. That's more than my brakes cost, it would make more sense to just replace those every time they were through.
