2000 Honda Odyssey

Asked by GuruXLN5H Oct 25, 2018 at 12:45 AM about the 2000 Honda Odyssey EX FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 Honda Odyssey which
I'm so lost of words trying to figure
out why did my Honda shut off
completely after hitting my back
right tire hard against it..after hitting
the curve it turns off as if I was out
of gas, so I tried turning the van on
and just when I heard it go on, it
ends up dying back down where I
stayed stuck. EVERYTHING was fine
dropping my friend off but after that i
kept starting it over n over but the
same issue kept on (Started up &
then Shuts off completely) I changed
fuel pump installing a new one. After
putting it in I starter up it stayed on,
only this time it stayed on for about
2mins..but then shuts off even if
pushing gas pedal making it sound
like it was flooding or bogging is
what they call it..but other then that I
don't know what or how to do this on
my own if I don't know cars or to
repair them but for now I need
answer on what could it be

This could also be a bad alternator, or a poor connection from the alternator to the battery. Either or can then mean all the electricty in your car is being used right off of your battery instead of the power your engine is making. Resulting in your battery draining and not being able to keep your engine running. I just changed my alternator and gave it a new serpentine belt and it's running great and even charged my battery back up! Hopefully this helped! Take it easy, Jakob
