Car won’t start. Does anyone know why?
Asked by suzanne Apr 11, 2020 at 07:53 AM about the 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250
Question type: General
Car won’t start, all lights on.
Changed the brake light switch it’s not that.
It’s a automatic but just when we turning key it
won’t start.
As it’s bank holiday and the garage we got it from
us off with covid we just wondering if anyone has
seen anything like this before
I am only hoping it’s something small as I am due to
pop with my son as we can’t afford to not have the
car.
Any help would be great

Could be any number of things , dead batt. , bad starter , a relay , a fuse , safety switch , park neutral switch , See if it starts in neutral .
Can’t afford not to have the car working!! Not can’t afford not to fix it. But misinterpretation can be taken via short and frank message. Had it checked it’s the starter motor, found a mobile Mechanic. Luckily we can sort next week. Thanks for your reply. :)

2015 GLA 45 AMG Same problem. This is what i find out so far : Issue Resolved. There was a power line loosely connected to the ignition system that sent over 6V while it should've been sending 12V of power. Sometimes it would latch and the car would start, other times it wouldn't make sufficient contact. Technician replaced and tightened the wire.
