2014 Toyota Highlander Rear Hatch Issue

My 2014 Toyota Highlander rear hatch dose not close all the way, go down to
within about 8" beeps twice and stops. Up and down works fine the only issue
does not close completely

Is the back glass closed, if not the hatch will not latch. Also there is a button in the glove box, turn the auto hatch on and or off and see if that works.
