My 2005 Honda Odyssey Malfunction Indicator Lamp has been on for 3 days now.

Asked by worriedwoman May 05, 2014 at 01:23 PM about the 2005 Honda Odyssey EX-L FWD with DVD and Navigation

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Honda odyssey (2005) has had the Malfunction Indicator light on for about 3 days
now.  It jerks when I accelerate.  I had the same problem last year. When I took it to the
shop, I was told I had some tank leaking. After they fixed it, my vehicle ran fine until now.
The manual says it could be my a missing or loose gas fill cap, not so for me, Ihave
checked. Does anyone know about this problem?

I would go buy a OBD 2 canner if your time is worth more than minimum wage. If I were a betting man I would say that your EGR port in the air intake manifold is blocked, TSB on this. I had this battle for 4 years until a drilled out the damm thing due to Honda mis-engineering this.
