Why does my 96 Ford Taurus idle to where it
almost dies and sounds like a air intake
problem

Yes, check all the hoses connected to the upper intake and around the throttle body.

I checked the icv and there was lubricant between the gasket and icv itself and I noticed this hose or something could it be the problem
