changin wiring on 91toyota tercel fuel pump assembly and motor

I'm replacing the wiring on the sub pump
assembly for the motor that was riveted in
there I having to put bolts in where i drilled
out the rivits so does it have to be copper or
not

No it would not have to be copper. Check to see if the rivets are magnetic with a magnet. If they are not magnetic, then you would want to use stainless steel bolts.
