I am having the same issue with my 1996 T-100 4X2 2.3 Liter V-6 (222,000 miles). My misfire is on cylinder 3. Did the same things: changed plugs, wires, and switched coil. Still misfires. It pretty much misfires all the time now. The 1st week I noticed it, it would run good and misfire regularly like yours, but now it never fires. Don't know what to do with it next. Sorry I am no help to you. Just letting you know there are others with the same issue recently.

1996 Toyota T-100, 3.4 V6 2WD 103,600 miles: Mis-fire on 2 cyl in May 2010. ended up putting in new injector. Drove from MN to AK now September 2010: Miss-fire on 4 cyl - all potential electrical problems looked at. I'm not any help but want to follow this thread if anyone pipes in about a known issue. Thanks!

Guys I had the same problem on my 95 T100 3.4 V6 4WD. I had a misfire on number six. Check your fuel injector. I did the check with the screw driver trick. I could hear is clicking but very soft. Replaced it and no more misfire. Hope this help. The truck now has 310,000 miles on it.

I have a 1995 T100 3.4 4wd with 175k miles on it, replaced all the injectors, plugs (with dual electrode ones), plug wires, and coil, but still having a misfire on cyl #2 and very rough idle, had a compression test done and all is good there, also replaced the fuel filter, I am at my wits end... Does anyone have any opinions? Thanks

If my Toyota T100 4 by 4 3.4 liter engine I pretty much had all the same issues like the rest of you guys with the misfire couldn't figure out what it was replaced all the fuel injectors the wires the plugs I even checked to make sure that the coil packs where within the right ohms. But after I got it all put back together it still at a misfire it was a simple stupid mistake but I failed to notice there was a bolt missing in the top of the plenum and indeed it was dark and dirty from where it was sucking in air. I replaced all the vacuum lines I even went as far as checking the valve clearance in the cylinder that was misfiring. I pulled the plenum back off put some gasket sealer on all the mating parts and replaced the bolt that was missing and the truck ran like now now at 228000+ miles.

Problem found.. my 1996 Toyota T100 3.4 V6 started as a skip when cold. After 3000 miles turn to multiple misfires. It drove me crazy The aftermarket coils have a spring the contacts the top of the plug.... just a tad too short I stretch them out just a little. The truck has never run better.
