The performance of this little truck is not the greatest, but what more could you expect from a little 4 banger? acceleration is minimal and braking is average. because it's so small, it really does handle quite nice. It's over 20 years old now so of course there is rust and rattles but overall the build quality is wonderful. Appearance... well just look at it. It's kind of an eye sore. Cost of ownership is what makes me give this truck good review. I bought it for $500. It gets 20+ mpg. it takes very little maintenance. simple oil changes and tune ups have kept this truck running for over 20 years. Overall it's a fun trusty little truck that will give you what you need.

Performance- weak acceleration and top speed aren't really a letdown because its a four cylinder truck, what do you expect? Build Quality- excellent. I have never had it break down on me, nothing has broken yet, and its like 12 years old! Appearance- it's an old truck, it looks good for its time. Fun Factor- yeah this thing is fun to drive, especially having manual. Then again, I've only driven a few cars in my lifetime. so yeah.

The truck that wouldn't die, no matter how many times you "totalled" it, it was still completely driveable and legal. I hated it only because it was an automatic. Normally I like 2WD street trucks, and this one was no slouch, it was in new condition with only 70,000 miles when I got it.

Too much rust in the frame to fix. That is the big one.
