06 Infiniti G35 - Car won't start

Asked by Becky Dec 18, 2015 at 05:54 AM about the INFINITI G35

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

nor will not respond to a jump. Battery is good,
bought a new one JUST to be 100% sure. When I
turn the ignition switch (I'm not using a key to start
it), I hear ONE click. All of the lights are operating
as they should. The car began acting up a few
weeks ago. When I would get in after grocery
shopping and turn the key, it wouldn't start. At that
time, I could throw some cables on and it would
start right up. The more frequently this occurred,
the harder it became to get it to turn over, until
finally, nothing.....I tried the "tapping on the stater
trick, but that too did not work. Starter? Alternator?

Either one is easy to change. Sounds like the starter. Call me tomorrow and I'll send you a used one. 225-749-3161. Seriously. My name is Matt.

most likely its the 120a fuse on fusible link attached to positive battery terminal

Try replacing battery fuses on positive cable, starter, & alternator. You could take the starter & alternator to Autozone & they will test them to see if there any good & if you trade them the old part they offer a great discount towards the new part. Also, check the water level in the battery it may be low. Autozone also charges your battery for free, if your battery is too dead then a jump wont work, it has to bs charged for a few hours.
