I am working on a 2003 focus 2.0 single can. It has no power and sounds like it is miss firing or out of time. Has new plugs and wires and they are hooked up right. Now I just out a new timing belt on it and it sounds the same. I need help.

to check injector drive you can unplug it use a test light. there will be a constant power on one wire and one will be a switching ground from the pcm. for the injector working put a screw driver up to it when its running and your ear on the other end of it using it like a stethoscope. you should hear a snap/click noise coming from them. listen to them all and see if one sounds different from the other. hope that helps!
