2016 Dodge Journey Crossroad will not start

My Journey will not start. It has a brand new
battery and new starter. I've checked all my fuses
and my alternator. I've double-checked all my
connections and made sure the battery terminals
are clean. When I push the brake pedal, it's a little
hard to press down, next I hit the start button and
the instrument panel lights up, all the gauges do
their thing. Then the battery icon illuminates, I hear
a click, and no start. I am able to jump start it, and
it will start normally a couple of times after that
and then no start again.

Did you figure out the problem? Mine is doing the same
The new starter I installed was actually bad. After I replace the starter a second time, it started fine for about a month, then same issue - hard brake pedal, push start and hear a click, the instrument panel would light up all the gauges worked, I had that little lightning bolt icon, but no start. I ran a negative cable from the negative battery post to the side of the engine and it started right up. A couple days later while I was driving home an icon that looks like an actual battery lit up on the dash. I went to a different auto parts store and had them recheck the starter, alternator and battery. This time they said the battery was bad. I replaced the battery AGAIN and have not had any starting issues since then. It was a frustrating process... I replace the battery three times, the alternator 2 times and starter twice. I would definitely run another ground from the negative battery post to the side of the engine and see if it starts..it can't hurt anything. Hope this helps.
This was another one of my - my no start issue posts. It dragged out over the course of three months - I'm a single mom - and had to figure out what was wrong, and do all the work myself but this is what I did - After I replace the starter it still wouldn't start. so I took it o the dealer to be diagnosed. They said the new starter I installed was bad. They wanted $800 to replace it.
