Why it stands out
The 2018 Toyota Sequoia stands out as a robust and dependable full-size SUV, designed to accommodate families and adventures alike. Built on a truck platform shared with the Tundra pick-up, it offers a spacious interior, seating up to eight passengers with three rows of seating. The Sequoia's impressive towing capacity of up to 9,520 pounds makes it a go-to choice for those needing to haul larger items. Although its fuel efficiency isn’t its strongest point, the vehicle's reputation for reliability and performance continues to be a significant draw for buyers.
While some critics note that the Sequoia's design may feel a bit dated compared to newer competitors, features like advanced safety systems and a solid powertrain ensure it remains appealing for families looking for a trustworthy SUV. The 2018 model year also marks a slight refresh that includes safety upgrades, maintaining Toyota’s commitment to quality and value.

Such an amazing vehicle! We owned a 1st generation Sequoia and ran it until 276K miles until deciding to replace with a newer model. Older one was still going strong. Went with the platinum model and it is decked out and super powerful. Looking forward to another 15-20 years with this one.
