Why it stands out
The 2016 Honda Civic marks a significant evolution in design and performance within the compact car segment. This iteration breaks away from the mundane by offering a chic and modern aesthetic that rivals more expensive vehicles. With a robust range of engines, including a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 158 horsepower and a turbocharged option that delivers 174 horsepower, the Civic promises a spirited drive that does not compromise efficiency, achieving an impressive up to 42 miles per gallon on the highway. Aside from its performance, the Civic is noted for its spacious and comfortable interiors, packed with user-friendly technology, including the innovative LaneWatch system and a responsive infotainment setup. Safety is a priority, evidenced by its top ratings from NHTSA and IIHS, making it a sensible choice for families and individuals alike. While some have critiqued its controls as overly reliant on touch functionality rather than physical buttons, the Civic’s virtues far outweigh these limitations, further solidifying its reputation as a go-to option in the compact car market.

The 2016 Honda EX is a wonderful car. The MPG is great combined with the durability of a Honda. I upgraded from a 2002 Civic EX and got my last one up to 199K miles (only performing standard maintenance checkups). 100% worth the value, and I would recommend these cars to anyone.

Love, love, love my Hondas and this one is no different. Drives so smoothly and the hatchback is very handy. Would definitely recommend.

I love the smoothness of the drive. I love the size; I can zip in and out of any parking space. The real deal breaker for me was the left hand lane warning mirror. I do wish it was a little higher from the ground. I do struggle a little bit to get in and out.
