Why it stands out
The 2015 Chevrolet Suburban stands out in the full-size SUV segment for its exceptional interior space and versatile usability, catering to families and individuals who require ample passenger and cargo capacity. With a newly redesigned body and enhanced aesthetics, this model features a powerful 5.3-liter V8 engine that delivers 355 horsepower, marrying performance with utility. Its fold-flat third-row seats simplify cargo handling, eliminating the need to remove seats for extra space, a significant improvement over previous models. While its robust towing capacity of up to 8,300 pounds makes it suitable for heavy-duty tasks, the Suburban also offers advanced technology features, including a user-friendly infotainment system with available safety alerts and collision avoidance systems.
Despite some concerns over its fuel efficiency, potential buyers are drawn to its durability and capability. The vehicle’s size might present parking challenges, yet it excels in suburban environments where its spaciousness becomes an asset. Owners express high satisfaction levels, indicating that it effectively meets diverse needs — from family transport to recreational use.

The only car comparable to a Chevy Suburban is the GMC Yukon XL. It is roomy, there is plenty of room behind the third row that no other SUV or van can offer. Carry 6-7 folks comfortably, plus all the pets, luggage, coolers, fishing/hunting/whatever gear you travel with. The ride is smooth, the technology is amazing. In the mountains it handles well with decline braking and hill start assist. It can tow a fairly large load without problems, we are towing a smaller SUV on a car dolly now through the mountains and barely can tell it’s back there, still maintaining 13-14 MPG. It’s smooth, comfortable, and perfect for a family. We’ve had 3 suburbans now, with a Kia Sorento, GMC Yukon (the shorter version) and a Ford Flex in between. The suburban is likely the only family ride we will own (unless they bring back the excursion).
