Many experts and reviewers have suggested that the Aura sedan is the vehicle that saved the Saturn marque. This mid-size sedan debuted in 2007, and represented a dramatic departure from the previous look and feel of Saturn's offerings. The Aura's styling cues are clearly inspired by European luxury sedans, and its performance aims to match this aggressive presentation. The Aura is powered by a 3.5 liter V6, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. This engine delivers 224 horsepower and 220 pound-feet of torque. Consumers have been very pleased with the Aura's sporting presentation, especially on the upper level XR. This models comes with 18-inch wheels, steering wheel paddle shifters, chrome trim, and performance tires. All Auras have received acclaim for their quiet cabin, bold styling, and powerful engine and strong fuel economy. Owners and reviewers have noted that Saturn could add to the upscale feel of the car by swapping out some of the interior plastic for higher grade materials. For some reason, the back seat is missing a center armrest.
