Overview

The 2003 Toyota Sienna saw no changes, as a new Sienna was set to be released the following year.
The 2003 Sienna came in three trim levels: the base CE, the midrange LE, and the high-end XLE. The CE is for minimalists only, with air conditioning, power windows, power locks, and a cassette player all optional. The LE is better equipped, and the XLE includes luxury-like amenities, such as leather trimmed seating and a power moon roof. The engine is a 3.0 liter, 210 horsepower V6 that gets about 19/24 mpg.
The 2003 Toyota Sienna is popular for its car-like handling and smooth, comfortable ride. Drivers complain that the power sliding doors could be dangerous for children, and many say the stock tires should be upgraded for better ones.

I like everything about it except for repair costs & the cost of gas which my van drinks up so fast. Good performance on everything. Great styling inside & out, getting gas for the van can be costly since the gas prices are going up and the van is fun to drive if you like driving something big as a boat on wheels ( I nick-named my van as "The Boat On Wheels").

We wanted a reliable mini-van and after looking at the consumer reports ratings for both the Honda and Sienna minivans for the 2003-2004 years, there really was no competition because of the major transmission problems the Hondas have for those years. The only reason we got rid of this van was because a tree fell on it and totaled it. It was a reliable van. The newer (2004+) Siennas are wider and longer which makes a big difference as we discovered you really can't put a rear-facing car seat in the second row of captain's chairs in this van because there isn't enough from in front of the 2nd row. There is in the 2004 model though. This van's back seat doesn't stow like the newer ones did and that is a draw back. The storage in the back end is minimal when you have all the seats in this thing. Now that we have a 2004 we almost always have at least one side of the back seat laid down so we can store more stuff in it.

It's a mom van. Never thought I'd have one, but it's been good with 2 kids and their friends. I get 25 mpg around town and more on trips. I purchased a dark remnant rug when I purchased and cut it to fit in back w/o seats then installed the seats. So the carpeting is clean. It's been great for the kids. Would like windows that move in middle seats.

my car is something that gets me back and forth from work and home... it also serves as the only place that I can be alone with my kids.... and still escape... I love my car and will probably buy another Toyota. I like that both my cars have moon roofs....
