About 2003 GMC Yukon
Overview

The Yukon added some nice options for 2003 that include enhanced Bose audio, a DVD system, and push-button controls in the steering wheel. Overall, this full-size SUV has 7 trims: Base, Base 4WD, SLE, SLE 4WD, SLT, SLT 4WD, and Denali 4WD. The Yukon offers 3 V8 powertrains: a 4.8 L, 275 hp, 4.8 L, 285 hp, and 6.0 L, 325 hp.
Gas mileage averages out to around 14 mpg in the city and 19 on the highway. All trims have 4 doors and seat anywhere from 6 to 9, depending on which variation you choose. Max towing capacity can go anywhere from around 8000 lbs. up to nearly 9000 lbs. Cargo capacity reaches up to 105 cubic feet if you fold down the second row and take out the third.
As with most Yukons, the 2003 edition gets high marks for its engines and passenger room. However, the '03 Yukon could use better exterior and interior materials. That said, this SUV delivers pretty much everything you'd expect from a quality domestic model and a little more.

It is a truck that rides like a Cadillac. It looks great, especially with the SLT wheels. I have comfortable traveled with 6 passengers. The pop up hatch is an excellent cover for tailgating. It has been great to hang out when going to kids sports festivities and the like (It's like an RV.)

The Yukon runs great. 4x4 worked great when I needed it. It's big, holds a lot of toys, people and it's reliable. I should have gotten the XL because with the 3rd row in, there hardly any room for storage. So far with over 120,000 miles, the maintenance has been reasonable.
