We owned this car from new.it was bought in october 1973 and it is still with its original engine..63600 miles on the clock. The model is the 1200 coupe sl fitted with 2 twin Aisin carburattors and 10:1 compression ratio. Its interior is pretty luxurious, it boast a wooden dashboard, sporty instrumenatation, seat belts. The colour is original too.. its brown.

this is to date the most fun i had on 4 wheels. the 2TC engine paired with the 5 speed transmission move the car along quite well, you must be careful when cornering not to over steer the car because of the rear wheel drive. the body is very pleasing to the eye, and has more room than expected on the interior. with after market wheels and high performance tires this little car moves like a slot car, and attracts a lot of attention.

Vehicle: 1973 Ke20 Corolla 2 door sedan Engine: 4KC 1.3 litre up to 4AG 1.6 litre Mods: full rebuild 5 years ago (specs unknown), all engine standart, KB karby, 4-1 extractors, 1,5 inch exhaust. Driveline: 5 speed, standart clutch, 4.1 locker. Brakes: Standard. Suspension: short stroke front shocks, suzuki futura front springs, reset leaves. Wheels: 13x7 Globe rims, 175/70 tyres. Exterior: ivory paint, most original (great condition), some resprayed, minor rust in lhs front guard cut out and replaced with new metal, Interior: original rear seat no rips, absolute mint condition, RECARO front seats, reshaped and retrimmed to match, 120Y gear knob

Performance was average. build quality ok. Bit of a rust bucket. Appearance was attractive nice sleeky lines. Cost me nothing to run, very cheap on the fuel (at the time) Very fun car to drive. Now turned into spaghetti cans!
