I contacted the dealership regarding a vehicle advertised online as a “new arrival.” After speaking with a sales representative, I was informed that the vehicle had in fact been on the lot for over a year. Despite this, I was encouraged to submit an offer, which I did that same day. No response was provided from management regarding my offer, guessing sales rep didn’t even give it to them. I followed up the next day and spoke with a sales manager, who advised that he would look into the matter because he had no offer on the table. When I contacted the dealership again the following Monday to follow up, I was then informed that the vehicle had been sent to auction on the same day my offer was submitted. This sequence of events reflects a lack of communication and transparency, and is inconsistent with the representations made to me during my initial inquiry.
