What’s New for the 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty
The F-250 gets some modest updates for the 2025 model year, mostly taking the shape of changes in feature offerings. The SuperCab is now only offered with the XL and XLT trims. The 6.8-liter gas V8 engine is now standard on the XLT and Lariat trims. There’s also new tech for trailering.
Design
The F-250 announces its arrival with a large, imposing grille, flanked by massive upright headlights with their signature “C” LED design. The F-250 is offered in regular cab, SuperCab (extended cab), and crew cab (four-door) configurations, as well as 6-foot-8-inch bed and 8-foot bed.
Powertrain
There are three engines offered in the F-250 Super Duty: two gas V8s and a diesel. The base 6.8-liter gas V8 makes 400 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque. The 7.3-liter gas V8 puts out 430 horsepower and 485 pound-feet of torque. The 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 engine is offered in two output levels: The standard output is 475 horsepower and 1,050 pound-feet of torque, while the high-output version makes 500 horsepower and an immense 1,200 pound-feet of torque.

Interior
Trims for the 2025 Super Duty include XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum. The XL trim keeps things basic, with vinyl seats, manual windows, and manual locks. Moving up through the trims adds creature comforts such as cloth or upgraded leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, and ventilated front seats. The truck is also available with lockable under-seat storage and Max Recline seats, which allow the occupant to lie nearly flat to get some shuteye on breaks during long hauls.
Technology
The 2025 F-250 XL trim comes standard with a Wi-Fi hotspot and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Upgraded trims include features such as a 12-inch touchscreen, wireless charging pad, head-up display, and Bang & Olufsen premium stereo system. It’s also available with helpful tools for towing, such as a smart hitch and onboard scales.
Safety
The F-250 Super Duty comes standard with some basic driver-assistance features, including automatic emergency braking and forward collision warning. You’ll have to pay extra for many more common safety tech features. These include blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, a 360-degree parking camera system, and an integrated trailer brake controller.
