Minivans are a dying breed in the US, but despite their decline, a few automakers cling to the family-friendly platform. The Chrysler Pacifica is an attractive van with an available plug-in hybrid powertrain, a plush interior, and plenty of space for the family and all of their gear. Though it’s technically the only vehicle currently sold by Chrysler (cheaper versions just happen to be badged as Voyagers), the Pacifica is a strong entry in the minivan segment that offers a reasonably competitive set of features and technologies.

What’s New for the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica
Chrysler introduces a new special edition to the Pacifica lineup for 2025. Known as the Pacifica Family Avdenture Vehicle, or Pacifica FAV, it offers a unique blend of features meant to comfortably accomodate large groups over long distances.
Design
The Pacifica features a rounded shape with a simple design that doesn’t try to be anything other than a minivan. Chrysler offers a few wheel choices between trim levels, and top variants get tasteful chrome accents on the exterior. The Pacifica FAV Edition gets blacked out exterior trim elements, black roof rails, and unique black 18-inch Foreshadow wheels.
Powertrain
The gas-only Pacifica comes with a 3.6-liter V6 making 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and either front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). The Pacifica Hybrid adds two electric motors to that setup, delivering 260 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque with an all-electric driving range of around 32 miles. Charging the van takes two hours on a Level 2 charger and up to 14 hours on a 120-volt household outlet.
Both models offer a smooth ride and quiet operation, but the hybrid’s electric torque gives it a livelier feel under heavy acceleration. Neither version is particularly athletic, but they hold their own on curvy roads and offer decent handling for such large vehicles.
Interior
Cloth upholstery comes standard, but higher trims bring synthetic and genuine leather upholstery options. The van offers seating for seven or eight people, depending on the second-row configuration choice, and top trims add heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, and a power-folding third-row seat. The top Pinnacle trim features a luxurious cabin with eye-catching leather stitching and higher-end finishes throughout, while the FAV Edition gets standard Stow 'n Go easy-fold rear seats and Mopar all-weather floor mats for additional versatility.
Cargo space for the gas model lands at 32.3 cubic feet behind the third row and up to 87.5 cubic feet with the third-row seat folded flat. The Pacifica FAV makes good on the "adventure" part of its name by optimizing cargo space for road trips: It adds a Thule car-top carrier to those roof rails and boasts a total cargo volume of over 156 cubic feet, according to Chrysler.
Technology
A 10.1-inch touchscreen comes standard for 2025, flanked by a 7-inch digital gauge cluster. Other standard tech includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, a six-speaker audio system, four USB ports, and more. Available tech includes a 19-speaker Harman Kardon stereo, wireless charging, a built-in vacuum cleaner, and a rear-seat camera system. The Pacifica FAV Edition gets navigation and the Harman Kardon sound system by default.
Safety
The 2025 Pacifica is too new to have received complete crash-test results, but Chrysler gave it a decent list of driver-assistance features. These include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. Available tech includes front parking sensors, a hands-free parking-assistance system, and a surround-view camera system.
