99 pontiac sunfire

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 99 Po
ntiac Sunfire 2.2.
Car won't start unless foot is on gas pedal.
Just replaced upstream o2 sensor less than
a week ago.
Now the downstream o2 sensor needs
replaced. That's being done in a few days.
Question is will that stop me from having to
hit gas pedal to start?
If Not what else could be causing this to
happen..
I got the car in jan of 2019 as a gift.
Was wondering if someone could tell me
anything else i may want to replace on a
20yr old car, the most common repairs at
this age..
The car itself is in really good shape.. No
rust, exhaust so far has no damage rust or
leaks found. Its quiet and smooth running.
No weird clanging banging or knocking
sounds. Idles quietly. It's super clean on the
inside. I've put brakes, and rotors on it.. And
as mentioned before the upstream o2
sensor, and soon down stream.
Only other proven is charging port (lighter)
doesn't work, neither does indoor
light.replaced fuses and bulb.. But still not
working. Only other thing I've heard is that
the electrical system on these cars had a
recall on them at 1point.
I'm not sure if this was fixed on my specific
car.

Clean throttle body with throttle body cleaner and if you use the 87 octane gas all the time use the middle grade or better yet the high octane gas will take care of 02 sensor problem low octane gas causing sensor to come on I know this because had same problem replaced 02 sensor light came back on in 2 days saying 02 sensor to make along story short started using the 93 octane gas it took 10 tank fills and light coming on and going off 4 times but now light is out and stays out.
