The gas guage on my van is stuck on full. I also have decreased starting power from a stop. Are the problems related and what do I need to do to fix it?

My van takes 10-15 seconds to regain full power after stopping at a light or from any
stop. The guage issue and power loss started at the same time.

I'm guessin' that the issues are not related- your broken gauge sounds like a broken sender- the power loss? anybody's guess- fuel injection issues? How long has it been since you did a tune-up or any maintenance to this thing?

i have a 1991 econoline van, i recently put a new starter,alternator,battery,selonoid,battery, cables, ( which i had to use an extention on the cables ground to hook it to the original ground on the engine) my problem is when i drive and stop it won't start back up but if it sits for about an hour it will start again, but now it seems that the battery is run down and i have to re-charge the battery for over 5 hours and it didn't take a full re-charge any suggestion. thank you 1 Answer
