Does your timing belt need correcting? How do you know?
Good question TS but here is a '97 pathfinder
dangel be very careful this is not a DIY for most people
I sort of wonder when some one comes on with a question that involves a major service. How did they conclude that there was a timing belt problem? How do they know enough to get to that point of problem solving and yet they don't know the basics of how it should work?

take it and get it checked out, and if it is the timing belt/chain then have it fixed professionally. DIYs can be expensive if you mess up.

Can't run with bent valves...perhaps this is where we are at, screwed up a Honda timing belt job, not proud of it, but it can happen to the best of us.
I think sometimes maybe folks get advice from buddies, neighbors, that may or may not know what they're talking about and just believe it 'cause it's the only source of information they have. Then come here or another forum and get conflicting answers and don't know what to do or who to believe...?
