Nissan Xterra

My Xterra 2001 stopped running for me at a stop light ,i had a
mechanic look at it and we replaced all the plugs the air to
fuel sensor the distributor cap and rotor and the fuel pump.
The Xterra started and drove for about a half mile and then
died on me again and wont start what is wrong

I have a 2000 Nissan Xterra. The first time it did not start was in 2008. It was in the middle of nowhere but AAA mechanic could not figure it out. Tech recommended to tow it to a repair center. Next morning when I came to check on the car and call for the tow truck it just started by itself. No repair needed. The second time was when my then husband wanted to proof his theory of what could have caused the car not to start. Again my solution was to leave the car alone and after a few hours it just started by itself. The third and last time was in a similar situation and the car just resets by itself. No repair needed. I still have the car, now 18 years old, and it still runs great. This year the light sensor for ABS is on all the time but it does not interfere with my driving. I just ignore it. My brakes were changed and checked, all in order but the light still on. I guess those are regular aging signs for a Nissan Xterra. It is a great car, besides the yearly maintenance it has never needed major repairs.
