I have an Mk4 V-dub, i have the same problem today, ive went on an enthusiast site and researched it, all i need to replace are the clips that hold window in place, because my motor still works i can hear it, I think a replacement of a motor will set u back about 300 bucks, so go to a junkyard and get a used one for like a 100, if youve worked on cars before you can probably change the motor yourself

passenger window motors most likely is fucked and you need a new one the driver side is most likely having a relay problem just get a test light and check to see if you got a good current running to the motors and the switches and then go from there

hey i worked at a nissan dealer and wat u do for both doors is take the door panel off and oh the door there should be a little button that u might need to use a pen or something small to press the button once u get the button depressed you must then roll the window all the way down then up. Hope this helps you! btw they r a VERY sexy car

thanks for your info Clayton, so rolling the window all the way down then up will allow you to remove the panels? or will it fix the problem i'm having? Where is the button i need to press located on the door? thanks again.

well u must find all the screws for the door panel you will not need to move the window up or down once u get all the screws out you lift the door panel up and disconnect the plug for the window button then i think you will have to pull back the rain shield either way there will be a little button in a little hole i cant remember exactly where it is but you must take the door panel off to access the button that you have to hold down while you roll the window up and down. In order to roll it up and downyou must reconnect the buttons to do so.
