Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So, I am the one who posted a response to
a question about the battery going dead. I
have a 2019 and can't drive it. It is at the
dealership for the 4th time. They say it is
my fault because I only drive it every
couple of days and not far enough to keep
the battery charged. Bull puckey. So if I fly
somewhere on vacation I can count on a
dead battery in long term parking? That is
ridiculous. My car has 411 miles on it now.
I'd drive it more often if the darn thing
started when I wanted to go some place. I
want another one but that involves putting
money out for an attorney. Where do I get
that money from!?

This is not your fault. You should be able to leave it parked for a week and start it. I would complain directly to Honda. Tell them the BS your are being told and demand a repair or replacement of the car.

I should ask how often you start it and how far you drive it each time.

Maybe try a different dealer for service. Document each time it goes into the shop and what was done. Agree with F_O_R; contact Honda USA and complain. There are lemon laws but they vary from state to state.

If it would start I would use it maybe once or twice a week. I would drive it mostly around town. If I went to a couple different stores maybe 20 miles if only one stop maybe 10ish miles. The last time I picked it up this past Thursday evening, around 4 PM, I went to the post office, 9 miles round trip, and home. Friday morning my Verizon, HUM sent me a message at 9:48 that the battery was "in the yellow" and needed immediate attention. I ignored it because it made me angry. At 12:00 am I received a message that the battery had less than 11.8 volts and probably would not start, and when it goes dead it is DEAD, the doors won't even unlock using the fob. NOTHING was left on. I even made a video on my phone to show what everything looked like before I pushed the button, of me pushing the button, and after the button as the Honda logo faded away on the screen.

You should contact Honda USA and explain the troubles you are having. https://owners.honda.com/

UPGRADE the battery to the canadian size. It involves removing battery, and plastic casing . Then install larger battery I think it was 550cca. Honda usa uses the smallest size I've ever seen like 420 cca, which doesn't hold up in cold weather - loses voltage.
