The cost and installation should be taken care of by the dealer or your insurance company.

I get that but why is this happening on a new car with no impact!!! Seems like flawed glass or installation

My 2018 CRV needed two chip repairs and then two $1200 windshield replacements in the first 11 months. My insurance company says they will raise my comprehensive deductible to $1,000 from $100 if I have another windshield claim. The Safelight shop says they are seeing a lot of new CRV windshield failures. I've only replaced 2 windshields across all the cars I've owned for the past 30 years - so I'm quite certain there is an issue but Honda will never do anything about it. Many complaints of this and even read of someone who had a CRV loaner and was charged $1,600 because the weak windshield cracked while they had it. I will refuse to accept a CRV loaner.

I have the same issue. My car is a CR-V 2018 Turing. The windshield cracked while overnight in the garage. It is long from passenger to driver side. And there is no impact at all. I went to the dealer. They did a inspection and took some pictures. But a few day later, they said they need more pictures. So I drove in again. But this time a new crack was found along with the old one. The dealer said they won’t cover it in this case. But I believe that the old crack (no impact) caused the windshield weak and fragile. So any little hit will cause a crack, which would not happen if there is no crack before. Then I called Honda Customer Relationships. But they are so arrogant. They don’t care about customers and the truth why these cracks happened. The agent’s attitude is very very terrible.
