My 2019 Honda CRV is not starting for second time I have it 3 weeks 200 miles. Dealer say it's the software and will have problem solved maybe 1 or 2 months. What can I do to make them take the car back and cancel car loan.

Only thing I know for you to do is to look up your states lemon law and see if your car qualifies.
Mine is having the same problem. Just bought it 3 weeks ago and it just died tonigjt in the restaurant parking lot. Tried jump starting it and nothing. Turn the key and all the dash lights flicker and still no start. I had it towed to closest local dealer. In the meantime I have no ride and my wonderful car was traded in on this one. I will be looking at a lawsuit if things don’t get handled. I’ll just not make a payment and claim lemon law. Not paying for a piece of crap. I paid to have a reputable car with AWD, and a hunk of crap instead. I don’t think so.
My car didn’t turn on either only after 3 months of owning. 2018 Honda CR-V. The dealership service said the box was fused by the towing company who tried jump starting it and that I left a light on. Totally BS because 1) if the car had started I wouldnt Have called a towing company to jump it 2) the lights turn on by themselves after about 30 minutes. Then I told Thank that the assistive cruise control would sway me to the side sometimes while using it and his solution was that the lane departure was off.. irrelevant to the issue. Honda of El Cajon is the worst. Horrible experience. I wish I would Have gone with the Toyota rav 4
Take it back to the dealer and tell them to get a tech that knows what the f... they are doing. Mine wouldn’t start, I had it towed to the closest dealer, who’s tech spent 4 hours testing everything in the system. Turns out, it was the ground from the battery to the body. Honda made this a poor design in the fact that they didn’t think through the fact that it is grounded on a spot on the strut tower where the whole body is painted and doesn’t make good contact. Also, there are two holes in the strut tower that allow moisture water in from under the car, especially when you hit big puddles of water. The screw in my brand new 2019 CR-V was already rusted/corroded a lot for being a new car. The tech pulled it, wire brushed and cleaned it good and reattached it back, using a crapload of di-electric grease both on the contact point and the battery terminals. Share with your CR-V friends.
Please refer to this question. It is the same problem as yours. https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Discussion-t84281_ds1000311? sntEmlId=2691151973#msg953400

My car is 2 months old. I only drive it on weekends. I went to start car and car was completely dead. No power. I will try to jump it myself in the morning.
They have update. I am in n.y. they did software update on 3/22. So far no issues. Make a lot of noise.
My super dealer did a software update on my 2017 crv..all is well..
My dealer did a software update in March. Have not had any problems since the update.
Sitting here in my 2018 CR-V Touring with the same problem for the THIRD time. Lights come on and it’ll crank occasionally but won’t start. Calling the dealer now, this is ridiculous. These damn cars are so over-engineered that it comes full circle and they don’t work.
I have my Honda CRV 2015,but right now I have a problem with start, that takes so long to started the engine, sometimes I need to try 10 times....anyone here have some ideia....? can give some advice ....I really appretice
There is probably a software problem. Maybe needs a software update , bring it back to the dealer.
We have had our 2019 brand new Honda Cr-V for 57 days. Of those 57 days, 17 of them the car either would not start or was at the dealer. It is now there for the very same starting issue for the foourth time. Twice the battery has been changed. Twice the computer software was updated. Now it is at the dealer for the fourth time. Now they are calling it "user error".
Just bought CRV EX on Saturday and Sunday on the way to church my husband gave it gas on the highway to test its power. It shut down to some type of auxillary mode and would only allow us to go 15mph. The engine light was blinking, we limped it back home and had it towed to dealership. Called salesman and he said it was battery. We are going to do our best to give it back or trade up. So glad I kept my old reliable 2002 CRV with 204,000 miles. I drive 35 miles one way on interstate, I can't trust this car with my life! I am so disappointed in Honda. If crying did any good this problem would be solved!
It probably is not the battery. It needs a software update. Go to dealer and show him this site.
Thank you, my husband is at the dealership now. I'm hoping he does not get arrested.
Good luck. If they don't help you, call corporate. That is what we did.
