BSD/RCTA OFF switch

Asked by Nikola Dec 15, 2018 at 10:56 AM about the 2019 Subaru Outback 2.5i Premier AWD

Question type: General

When you press BSD/RCTA OFF switch, does it actually turns off the radar
modules (eg turns off the power supply for the modules) or are they still active,
and just BSD/RCTA reporting is disabled?

Well, so far I've found this: http://www.sucross.com/blind_spot_detection_rear_cross_traffic_alert_wiring_diagram- 4199.html So, pressing the button disables current to pin 8, but since I can find manual for SRR3-A sensor, I don't know if it only disables the CAN lines or it actually powers off the module.

I don't know but I do know that most if not all Nanny systems are not really turned off when you think they are.
