your going to need to get a TT ECU, I recommend the jesters chrome ECU, its mappable /programmable/tuneable then of course your going to have to get the turbo kit with the intercoolers oil lines turbos etc,,then the intercooler and pre-turbo intake pipes , your going to want to get a boost gauge and maybe a boost controller depending on how you map/tune your ECU, a wide band O2 sensor for further tuning ability, and an air fuel gauge to make sure your not running lean the wide band O2 helps with the tuning,, you should get some low compression pistons although if your good with tuning you can get away with running low boost on high comp pistons,, before you even do any of that though, I would strongly suggest getting the maintenance done on the engine, meaning the 60 or 120 maintenance (timing belt water pump, oil pump, timing belt tensioners, spark plugs n wires) .... then of course your going to want to get a bigger fuel pump and some bigger injectors,, i would also strongly suggest doing the fuel pump hot wire kit, it will make your pump last longer and insure that you have a constant flow of fuel and constant pressure, you dont want to run lean with a TT, i might be forgetting some stuff but thats most of it anyways,,, oh yeah and since your NA is open differntial (one tire spins) you would be wise to get an LSD,,, and by the time all this is done you might as well get a VR4 or RT TT for around 5 grand and have the AWD,, the money you spend on this conversion you can get a TT that needs a little work get it in shape and mod it up to 400hp and still spend less than you did on converting the NA to TT

by the way I just realized that you were asking about what it took to make It single tubo,, I thought that you were asking about a TT setup,, well apply everything I said to it except that you are going to have to do a bit more fabrication because theres not any direct bolt on single turbo kits for the 3S (3000gt/stealth)
