Asked by Starletta Jun 19, 2019 at 08:22 PM about the 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor XLS AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I have a 2004 used Mitsubishi endeavor
and my check engine light goes off an on it
reads p0420 for my catalyst converter... I
wanted to know what should i do... Should I
replace the cat or the sensor or get a tune
up and see what happens..

I really don't know much about cars it drives
fine rough idle sometimes and when I start
it up it revs up pretty hard until it warms up
then it's silent

If you have that code the sensors fine.. the cat is most likely damaged/worn and the elements that were once inside are no longer able to do their job
