My 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude kept shutting off. I took it to dealer and they said I had no oil in my car. I explained I just had oil changed three weeks prior. The oil life was reading fine so I don’t understand why I lost so much oil? The dealership changed my oil and I went back after 1800 miles because on the oil stick it was at the bottom of the crossings on the stick. Dealership said don’t worry that it only means I’m down half quart? Is that true though? Do the jeeps burn half quart after 1800 miles? Should I really have to be needing to top off oil every three weeks? I worry it’s consuming to much oil? Please feel free to email me if others have same issue or can offer advice. Some new cars do use oil. Always check the oil level before leaving the oil change shop. One half quart in 1,800 miles is not bad.
