Asked by Renee Apr 08, 2018 at 07:20 PM about the 1998 Ford Explorer 4 Dr XLT 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car won't start there is oil in the car could it be the
transmission? When my husband went to start it it
wouldn't. He said the engine is shaking. Could the
transmission be broke?

doubt the transmission would have anything to do for a no start,,, shaking when cranking usually happens when the battery is underpowered almost drained of currant , or something holding back even maybe the starter itself
