Do you still have warranty coverage? How do you know there is no problem? Have you scanned for codes?

System warnings come and go for no apparent reason. This has been going on for over a year. The first time this happened we contacted the nearest Honda service department and were told not to drive the car, but to have it towed to the shop. So we contacted a towing service and arranged for them to tow the car to the shop, but the day that they were to tow the car the warnings cycling stopped. We live in Laramie, Wyoming 60 miles from the Honda dealership in Cheyenne. We were quoted $300 for towing so we cancelled the towing thinking (hoping) that this was just a quirk. But the cycling started again a few weeks later, and after a few days the cycling stopped. This happened several times over the next few months. When it came time to have the car serviced we asked the Honda people to scan the codes. This they did, but they found no irregularities. We essentially got an "if it ain't broke we can't fix it" response. The service representative suggested we take a video of the screen with our cell phone the next time we encounter the warning cycling. So we drove the car back to Laramie. It was no surprise when a week or so later my wife informed me that the warnings cycling had started again. So we took the video, got in the car and immediately drove to Cheyenne to the Honda dealer. The service manager and a couple of his technicians observed the cycling, and also observed the cycling to stop, again for no apparent reason. Unfortunately, we had encountered a horrific hail storm on I80 about 15 miles west of Cheyenne on the drive over to the dealer. The car was almost undrivable due to a crushed windshield, but we did make it to the Honda service department. We managed to have the car towed to the Caliber body shop in Cheyenne the next day. There was concern that the need for the electrical work may now be moot as the insurance company might declare the car to be totaled. But this did not turn out to be the case. They were able to repair the hail damage to the tune of about $15,000 which except for my deductible was paid by State Farm. Caliber scans the codes incoming and outgoing. They found no irregularities in either scan. But remember the warnings Cycling had abruptly stopped in front of myself and technicians in the Honda service department before the car was turned over to Caliber. A week after we got the car back from Caliber the cycling started again. So the next day I called the Honda service department and made an appointment to meet with the General Manager of the dealership. Of course by the time of my meeting the cycling had stopped. But I did meet with the General Manager and two of his technicians on Friday, Sept. 3. They are all aware of the problem, and they tell me that they will get to the bottom of this, but right now they appear somewhat bewildered. I have left the car with Honda and asked that they not call me until the car is fixed. Any suggestions that you might provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
