2002 Mazda Tribute Radio/Clock won't fully display

Asked by MazdaGirl Jul 03, 2012 at 07:04 PM about the 2002 Mazda Tribute LX V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello,   I own a 2002 Mazda Tribute.  The digits on the face of the clock and radio on my Tribute don't
display fully. Parts of the numbers and letters for the radio and clock fade out randomly. When I push the
plastic face of the radio, they can display correctly. When I let go they fade out. Other times it displays
correctly, but seldom.  Are there any remedies, besides buying another radio? Thank you

The radio face must be removed, and the solder connections for the display re-soldered. I just repaired mine yesterday.
