Car won't start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The other day came out of a store and car wouldn't
turn over (like battery dead) . Tried boosting it and
nothing.  Hammered near starter and finally
engaged, got it home and wouldn't start again even
with hammering starter area. 2 days later started
up with no problem has started daily since but
haven't been driving it for fear it might not start
again.  Any suggestions on what it may be?

The brushes in the starter are probably worn !! I'd have a rebuilt starter put on

My Mazda 6 2010 is doing same thing first time was about 4-5 months ago few days later fired up cause in process I had replaced the relay switch still nothing checked battery it’s good alt was also good so I said screw it im gonna replace starter before starter got her I went out side and it cranked up well no issue till last night now it won’t crank again It please help mother of 7 with very sick fiancé
