Ghost in the machine of a 1992 Lincoln Continental
As I'm sure you are aware, EVERYTHING is
computerized and Digital on these cars. My
problem is that after my Grandmother passed my
mother allowed the car, which ran perfectly, motor
as well as All electrical parts when I borrowed one
weekend right after Gram passed. So, car sat
unstarted and undriven for 2 years, then my mother
lent it to a young gal she was friends with for about
a month, and I'm assuming it ran ok. Then another
6 months went by of it sitting again, and then it
was given to me, which is great as it is an
Awesome car and JUST turned 100,000!
So, anyways, the radio comes when it wants, the
gas gauge is not correct most times as I have run
out of gas a few times with a few gallons showing
on dash. Not Fun!! And, the motor for the trunk
stopped working out of the blue one day And the
gas door has to now be opened manually from
inside the trunk. And I think sometimes the air ride
doesn't fully come up all the way, the lighters dont
work, which I guess a friends brother checked front
and it had a screw in it somehow, and now doesnt
work, nor the cruise, only the speedometer Thank
god works correctly!
But, my main thing right this moment is to get my
lighter socket working so that I can plug in my
adapter for my Auto insurance to gauge my
mileage for billing.
