Probably means "branded or salvaged" title. That is a vehicle that has been rebuilt after being declared a total loss by an insurance company. Be careful.

Correct, of course. But on an older, less valuable vehicle even hail damage on hood, roof and rear can "total" a vehicle. If no evidence of unibody damage and repair, ask about flood damage or other reason for the full loss. Rarely are these bargains, but my daughter had an '06 Imp damaged and "totaled" by hail in Chicago. Of course the "buy out" was cheap, and she continued to drive it for many years.
