Alternator fuse. Look in owners manual for location of fuse. If no manual Google year, make and model of vehicle.

Check the fuse as stated above or you could have a bad connection from the wires to the battery. A loose connection will cause the battery to die.

Had the same problem, Turned out it was my back wiper trying to run as if it was left turned on. Because the wiper was constantly trying to run, it drained the battery.

I drive a 2009 Lincoln MKX my battery light came on my dash board. I bought a alternator and decided to try to save some money so I bought a Ford part. Battery light still on after replacing alternator. I had to order part from the dealership for Lincoln for my car to be fixed. I has to spend a lot more money buying a Lincoln alternator part. But the problems fixed.

check the fuse-able link in the rectangle shape housing that goes from the battery to the alternator. I had the same problem and i diagnosed it with a volt meter...main small cable on/ off charge send(red/yellow) that goes to the plug on the alternator was burned...I ended up removing all fusable links (3 in total) and using a 150amp fuse block that protects both the on wire and the main cable.....my problem was solved. clear any remaining codes.....fords retarded design is just that.....fusable links are pointless when they should be replaced with a 110 amp fuse or higher.
