2018 GMC Terrain Denali won’t start

Asked by Amarna510 Sep 18, 2018 at 08:52 PM about the 2018 GMC Terrain Denali AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

4 months owning this car and it won’t start. Had to have it
jumped and I took it to the dealership. They said they
thought the rear wiper motor was draining the battery. The
motor was shot so they disconnected it and ordered me a
new one and said I can pick up the car for now. I got there
and the car was dead again. That was four days ago.
Have not heard a word from them. After reading all the
reviews I think I got a lemon.

Click on "GMC Terrain Questions" and the click on "Battery Drain on 2018 and 27 Other Models of GM Vehicles." They're blaming vehicle owners with causing "Radio Frequency Interferrence" that results in battery drains ( also known a parasitic draw ).

I have the issue with my 2018 GMC Terrain as well. However I am on my second battery replacement and the car will not start. The voltage at the battery is 12.35v. I put my charger on it and it comes back fully charged. However the alternator test says LO. Not sure what that means. When I try to start it I cannot depress the brake at all to get it to crank. The warning comes up Depress Brake to start. LOL As if I didn't know. What can I do. It has only 15000 miles on it and this is the third time I have gone through this.
