Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 96 jeep cherokee 4x4 it had the spark plugs, cap
and rotor replaced a few months ago has been running
great. Came out from work and started it. Ran for a few
seconds then died. Will crank just fine and all but wont
start. Didnt have any idle issues, performance issues
before this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is it still getting gas? Could "burp" the fuel rail while key is on to test.

Its getting fuel and u can also hear the normal fuel pump buzz for 2 to 3 seconds. I'll try that tomorrow and see what happens also gonna try spraying starting fluid into the intake.
If you try the starter fluid first and it starts, but does again it will mean its definitely an issue in the fuel system somewhere, my first guesses would be filter or where fuel and air mix
I don't have an answer but mine is doing the same E. The filters have been changed as well.
I would also consider the possibility that the crankshaft sensor and/or cam sensor are wearing out
