Drove 2 1/2 hours to a Dealer - Liberty Ford in Ohio (0 start rating)
I found the F150 white truck listed from CarGurus and contacted Liberty Ford the seller in Brunswick, Ohio. After communicating with Liberty Ford we agreed on a price. I made arrangements to drive to Ohio with another driver to pay for the truck CASH and bring it home.
When i arrived i meet the salesman who told me there was immediatly bad news. The front windshield was broken. Okay I agreed that I could have it repaired at my address and we could continue with the transaction. The salesman had another customer at his desk and escused himself. I began to look over the truck. 1st thing i noticed it did not have a moonroof/sunroof as advertised, hmmmm ok, 2nd thing it was not cleaned yet? thought the stain in the drivers seat would have been removed by the time i showed up and the truck already detailed, hmmmm. 3rd thing, no leather seats as advertised, 4th thing no navigation as advertised and finally 5th thing, no heated seats as advertised.
Ok I can live with getting the windshield replaced at there cost, and the truck not being detailed, however when i went and asked the salesman about the other items he said they did not list it that way. I showed them your listing and he immediately got defensive and said it is not there fault. Immediate blame on CarGurus. I was and still am insulted. No offer to do anything except buy the truck as is.
Here i am a cash paying customer and feel it was false advertising.
They immediately threw CarGurs under the bus claiming no fault on them.
I have bought a few cars because i found them on CarGurus and have had success. I feel you need to check into this dealership as they are giving you a bad reputation and you need to do something or you will be loosing a customer.
Please let me know of your actions.
