Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I was recently driving my car and it just died and would not start up. I had to get it towed.
Wondering if this could happen with a stretched timing chain.

Thank you Joart. I appreciate the response. I am doing research on Honda accord timing chain issues. would you be able to recommend some books or websites I could read. A dealership just ripped me off telling me I had diesel in my fuel tank when it was the timing chain all along. I'm planning on suing them at small claims court. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Wife has a 2003 with the 4 cylinder. It was cheaper to replace the motor with a "JDM" motor. Japaneses Domestic Motor. Then to repair her's. These motors are interference engines. You may have internal damage. Was your check engine light on before it died?

Yes. The check engine came on and after a couple seconds the engine died.
